False prophets and false teachers are pretty much everywhere throughout the church today, and the reason why they're in such abundance is because they, like the devil, capitalize on one's lack of knowledge of the scriptures. Memorization has nothing to do whatsoever with having KNOWLEDGE of the scriptures. 98% of people who hear God's word NEVER do any research to find out if what they were taught from their pastor is true or not. And by them not studying to shew thyself approved unto God, they've given place to the devil and to his ministers, who appear as ministers of righteousness. And all those who follow them are led astray.
